A Note From Deanne

I love travel and enjoy finding different ways to explore new places. As a former anxiety sufferer, it is so freeing to be able to travel without worry and fear. Here is a photo of our recent family trip with my husband and two-year-old daughter. A memory I'll deeply cherish.

I remember a time when I felt so anxious that I didn't think I could ever be happy or even have my own family, let alone travel with my family, due to how out of control the panic and anxiety made me feel. It's amazing how your life expands once you free yourself from anxiety's grasp.

Each week in this ezine you'll receive a 60-second power tip to boost your freedom from anxiety and help you embrace life joyfully. This edition's article is inspired by our subscribers who ask how to peacefully say "no" to time-robbing requests that keep you stressed out and overly busy...enjoy!

Dedicated to your success,

Anxiety Tip

"I'm Not Saying No to You. I'm Saying Yes to Me."

One technique that I have found helpful in gently saying no to time-robbing, crisis-mode requests from people is "I'm not saying no to you. I'm saying yes to me."

When the local home owner's association calls with yet another volunteer project, you can say, "You see, my saying no to you is not against you or your cause. It's a very important project and a worthy cause, but recently I realized I've been over committing myself and it's taking away from spending time with my family. Please realize that me saying no is not against you. It's saying yes to me and my family."

Use this simply powerful technique to say no to anything that does not align with your most important values.
